S/S Wallaby Shirt
The Tender Short Sleeve Wallaby Shirt takes some of the best parts of William Krolls work and merges them in to one garment. Here you’ll see the body panels of the Butterfly shirt, the pockets of the Wallaby Shirt and the inverted raglan sleeve of the Zoetrope Coat. Whether worn as an over-shirt or jacket, this piece is the ideal summer companion.
This piece has been made from a light weight cotton twill made to be used for Mackintosh raincoat. This garment is then dyed in England using dye naturally extracted from Juglans Nigra, The Black Walnut. The first recorded use of this dye dates back as far as ancient Rome, where it was used as hair dye and re discovered across medieval Europe. Artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Rembrandt and Van Dyke have also used inks made from concentrated walnut.
