1955 501XX Jean - Cone Mills Denim

The Levi’s Vintage Clothing 1955 501 Jeans represent classic 1950s biker style. Their shape is similar to the one Marlon Brando wore in “The Wild One” – a hit film that popularised this rugged, “street tough” attire. This jeans had an “anti-fit” in the seat, a slightly fuller cut around the leg and a boxier silhouette. They were also the first to bear our leather-like, paper Two Horse Pull patch. Additionally, the updated red tab is double-sided – another example of our meticulous attention to detail. This version of the 501 still retains some classic features of its 1947 predecessor: belt loops as the only method of waist adjustment, hidden copper rivets on the back pockets and a zinc button fly. They are made with selvedge denim from Cone Mills of North Carolina – a Levi’s® brand partner for over 100 years.
